Cindy Moriarty is the Team Leader for the 2nd Tuesday distribution event and the Resource Connector for 2nd and 4th Tuesday teams. She has been serving as the RC for the past two years and as a Team leader since September of 2020.
Cindy is responsible for interviewing guests, recording individual/family data, sharing information regarding the ministries of the Center 4 Hope and Hope church, connecting to community resources when needed, and offer to pray over the guests’ life situations/needs. Her overall purpose is focused on building relationships with guests in an effort to better assist and serve them, and to further enhance both their personal and spiritual needs. Also, to be a witness & servant for Jesus, that we let our light shine and give hope to others in need.
Cindy’s fiancé Mike started volunteering back in 2018 when the distribution was once a month and he was very excited and impressed with the whole operation and organization. After listening to Mike, She wanted to be a part of this ministry as well. She truly feels that NO ONE should go hungry, that food and nourishment is a life necessity not only for our physical health yet for our mental and brain health also. There is great joy in serving others in need.
Cindy doesn’t have a particular story to share yet, but it’s been a joy-filled experience to be able to connect with various guests. She has been through various trials in her life and is able to put herself in their shoes, and share with guests how Jesus gives us strength in all our circumstances and the hope to carry on in victory!
What gets Cindy excited? The idea is that she has been blessed with the opportunity to serve and to be able to give back. She looks forward to seeing whom God will put in her path and that she can be a light to others. It is never boring, always something new.
In her spare time, Cindy enjoys Fitness (various cardio circuit workouts), & working on improving her golf swing, Cooking, and Reading.
